Anything between 0 and .6 makes them come after you, but it seems that if there are 2 people beside them, and 1 is .6 and the other is 0 that it will go for the 0 first.
AI will attack you if you kill 3 of them I believe. It's probably something like -750 rating per kill and it takes -2000 to become an enemy. So if you setFriend WEST as .7, then maybe 1 kill will do it.
As for adding items, if you go below where you add your magazines and do another...
For that one, it's a matter of priority I found. If I had myself set at 0 then they would attack me first, but when I moved myself to .6 they didn't. You may not have the same results, but this is what I got. It gives the AI a distraction when zombies are around that gives my players an advantage.
That's a problem currently with the non-DayZ_Factions AI. They base their targets on their targets target. Which makes no sense, but it's how it works. If the zombie isn't targeting you then its an enemy, but if it's targeting you, then its a WEST. Your only hope is to keep going in circles, and...

You have to go to your dayz_code.pbo, which is located in your map folder, in your arma 2 folder. You have to open the pbo and its inside of the compile folder.
I am on DayZ.ST as well, and I had a problem with them not attacking zombies, so I had to borrow a simple hack from Buttface that I linked earlier in this thread that makes the zombies ENEMY faction so that the AI will kill them. Zombies still don't attack the AI though. To get them to attack...
