My scripts.log are getting awfully large now. Is it recommended to add a few exceptions in the scripts.txt file to reduce it size? Any idea's which ones without comprising security? (I'm a networker, not a programmer so please forgive my ignorance).
pyBEscanner would do a good job to stop this. By Default, pyBEscanner anti-spam setting for setdamage.log is ban if there's 30 lines within 10 secs from one player.
You can also add their IP manually to your ban list (bans.txt) in the following format.
[IP Adress] -1 [Ban message]
Example:
123.123.123.123 -1 Cheating/Hacking - Please go forum.hackerssuck.com to appeal ban.
My RPT shows:
PossibleScum (20065414) was detected for hacked variable with the value 'img'"
PossibleScum2 (5906112) was detected for no recoil with the value 'null'"
In the remoteexec.log file, it shows the corresponding player as:
23.01.2013 23:22:11: PossibleScum : (00.00.00.0:2304)...
Haha, you were right. I had a stray 4GB txt file which I had not included in my daily log backup batch hence how it got to that size. Obviously, the 32bit Python isn't going to fully utilize my 16GB ram. (I couldn't even open the file in notepad++)
Thanks for your help!
For symlink, i use this: http://schinagl.priv.at/nt/hardlinkshellext/hardlinkshellext.html#download
Only need to right click/'pick source' and then right click/'drop as hardlink'. Two clicks done.

Hey everyone.
I doubt I'm the only one who has noticed this and want to get some other peoples opinion on it.
While I was manually parsing though some logs after a server wide "gangnam style" hack, I came across something interesting: (Search "caught" in script.log")

Hello, I'm sorry for bringing back an old post but I have been having the same problem and wondering if someone could shed some light on it (Couldn't find much information via google).
Recently, I've been having the ""SeaGull" issue at least 3 times a night. It would kick a large portion of...
Today I banned the same person about 12 times, every 2min, with different GUIDs each time. It was like he was mocking me. Furthermore, sometimes, I think what's worse is the legit players who complain about hackers and state "Omg, there was 1 hacker on your server tonight. You are not doing a...
