Whitelists kill servers. Regular kids can't be bothered to go through the trouble of signing up, they'll just find a public server without a whitelist and play there. Ive seen many servers go the whitelist route, and die.

from what I understand there is no longer a beta patch to update.. 125548 isn't beta. So when you launch the game normally it doesn't use the beta launcher. Either way when I made the chance or switched which arma2oa.exe was being used it would just instantly crash the server.
nah that was one of the first things I tried lol. If the start up is wrong the server will crash immediately. You'll get a session lost the moment you try and join the server. This authentication timeout starts after you're joined the server and are in game.
yea I was never able to resolve this on my test server. Literally tried everything.BE was disabled on the server.. so idk how that could be an issue.. The server was up and running, missions were being launched etc, but I would get the timeout shortly after spawning in. No idea how to fix.
