Ok, thanks for all the help Sarge, and great work on the framework. I'll update this thread with more feedback once i've had it running for a few days.
thanks again
Ok, the AI system seems to be working well for me know. In regards to skill, I am thinking I will just swap out their weapons choices to something a little less powerful. Is the ammo selection for new weapons (eg. MP5) automatic, or will I need to update that in another file?
EDIT2. I was pointed out to me that I made some screw ups in the code. This has been updated below and now should work ok.
EDIT. So I have updated the server and this seems to be working ok... it seems to not spawn in weapons for the Bandit AI tho..
The NPCs are also spawning in with...
One last thing.
The script seems to be working for some players but not for others (me being one of the others). Is it disabled under certain graphics settings?
Thanks
Hey folks,
I've spent the last few weeks building up our server to be something a little different to play on. Going on the idea that there was an outbreak of the infection in the city of Elektro and after an unsuccessful attempt by the USMC to contain the infection, we are now left with a map...
I just saw that you are testing for Chernarus! My bad, we may be starting an Oring map soon so i'll update you if and when we start it...thanks anyway and can't wait to try this out!
Hey there,
I would really like to add this to our server and participate in the testing. We have a heavily modded map and I have set up new FOBs, an Armory and other strongholds on our map and I would like to put some static AI groups at the new locations, as well of course as the roaming AI...
Hey folks,
just thought I would update you with the solution I found. It was quite simple in the end.
First you need to grab your misson.pbo, extract it and open up the mission.sqm file in a text editor. Go to line 1165 (or close to it depending on how much editing you have done to the file)...
That's great, but do you have the specific code for map markers? I have had no problems building and inserting via SQL, but I have been unable to find the database code I need to insert.
That would be great. I'm guessing its just a matter off adding a object with coordinates to the world table, but without knowing the specific codes, i'm a bit lost. I've been looking for a breakdown of the codes used within the table but have had no luck..
