It looks like you're using the fn_selfActions for the Epoch mod. There's a lot of Epoch specific stuff in there. So that's probably why it's not loading. It's looking for all that and can't find it.
Download this fn_selfActions.sqf and replace the one you have. This is from my vanilla DayZ with...
LOL! Yeah, that's me! :)
Yeah, I understand about people not reading through entire threads and having to repeat yourself over and over. I'm a teacher and I know that feeling extremely well, trust me.
Although, it may be that they read the first post with the instructions, realize it doesn't...
You might also want to lower the image size of your loadscreen from 2048x1024 to 1024x512. It'll go from 6Mb to 1.5Mb. That could be hanging your server. (maybe)
Hmmm...
Try this... In your init.sqf, comment out the line that looks for your Scripts folder. Repack and reupload it to your server and try to connect.
Let's see if it's a custom script issue or if it's in your init.sqf.
WAIT! I found your problem!
In your init.sqf, line 32 reads:
But your file in the Scripts folder is named compile.sqf. Just change the name to compiles.sqf and it should work... maybe? Let me know.
Also, what might be the main problem is that this thread is for getting self-bloodbag to work on an Epoch server. The downloaded fn_selfActions file might be different than vanilla DayZ which is why your server isn't liking it. Try the files from this thread instead.
That doesn't look like an Epoch init.sqf. Is that what mod you're running? Is that the file from your server or did you copy it from somewhere? at the very top of my init.sqf it reads:
I think your init.sqf isn't the correct one.
Richie: That's the exact attitude I'm talking about. "if people can't follow them it's tough." Generally, people find it hard to follow instructions because the writer didn't know how to right them correctly so that people could follow them. ;) But if you don't have the time to support your own...
@Madman_Andre: Post your init.sqf.
Madman_Andre: If that's your init.sqf then that looks ok. The progressLoading line is there. The thing that wasn't working for me was because I used another folder name instead of 'custom'. In the line that reads :
Notice that your folder name is called...
I disabled this because there were are few times when I found the perfect little house to use as a base camp but it had a small dirt path leading up to it. I wanted to put my gate there but it said "Cannot build on roads". Some people suggested to raise it above the ground but that didn't work...
One thing I've learned through experience is make backups of all the original files you alter. That way, in case you really screw something up you can set it back the way it was.
Madman_Andre: Where are you looking? The init.sqf you need is in your mission.pbo file. Are you doing this on a paid...
From what I've read, the mission init.sqf is inside the mission.pbo and has that line they say to look for. This is what mine looks like:
You'll notice that it has the progressLoadingScreen 1.0; there just around the middle of the script where I wrote in DOESNT WORK. That is what your init.sqf...
Hey all! I'm fairly new to running a server but I am slowly figuring it out as I go. I have looked around for hours trying to find the right bit of information on how to help me do some things but there are a few problems with this.
1. Everyone seems to write tutorials as if everyone else knows...
I have been trying like crazy to get this to work but I can't. First problem is that I'm on a DayZPRIV server and their file structure doesn't mirror anything that tutorials are telling me to do. The init.sqf is outside the main mission pbo and their folder structure is crazy different than what...
