I run all of my servers password protected, and try to keep everything secure. I'd love to see Origins up and running and while I am sure you hear this a lot if there is anything I can do to assist I'd love to help wherever I can.
Wow, glad I know all of that now before I went back to working on it tonight. I think you just saved me a good number of hours of tearing my hair out.
So, all said and done, is it possible to get a playable version of Origins or is that still being worked on?
I downloaded @DayZOrigins from DayZ Commander and used what was in the most recent github (as of yesterday evening) to build it. So far everything seems to work. I logged in and got to the lobby but ran out of time last night to test much more.
So I believe I used the files as is.
I have finally had a chance to actually log into my server. Crazy night last night.
Anyway, I realized my mistake and rebuilt the files with "perl build.pl --world i44.chernarus --with-i44" and everything worked, I was able to get into the lobby. This morning I tested it, after adding in the...
Messing with mine now, it appears I have to click OK on a popup for content when starting the server, but then it loads. Yet when I try to connect to it, I sit at "Waiting for host." Never goes anywhere. Back to the drawing board.
Apparently I've missed something else. The folders listed for Invasion 1944 are @DayZ_i44 @I44 @CBA @CBA_A2 @CBA_OA @CBA_CO, but the download only has @CBA_CO, @Dayz_i44 and @I44.
Not sure where to get those.
I am trying to set up a database to run Day Z Invasion 44, and noticed that there's no world ID in the database for Invasion 44 and no vehicle spawns. Should I just use the default Chernarus world and vehicles or am I missing something?
Thanks!
Okay, so my restarter.ini had @dayz instead of @dayz_oring. I don't know how I missed that the first 300 times I looked at it. All is well now, stupid me.
Still getting kicked for signatures, but I turned those off for now until I can figure that out.
I downloaded DayZ_Oring 1.0.7 from Day Z commander and copied it over to my server, and I am using restarter.ini. I might have to attempt command line to see if that helps. I will check out Stapo's installer.
I am trying to set up an Oring server, but I am running into some problems. I built it with NO add on packages (perl build.pl --world Oring --instance 1) and set everything up to connect to the database I set up for Oring.
When I launch the server and connect, I immediately get problems saying...
