Get value from database?

Hey guys, sorry if it's a really easy thing but I'm new to this thing

Here's my question:

How would I get a value from a certain database and database table

I assume you would need a mysql connect but I don't know how I would write this.

I assume you want to get the value from the database within arma code?

Or are you just asking for the SQL Query that is required to get some data from the database?
