Adding Hive Write To Ammo Box

why not try just adding in ammo boxe's from arma 2 map editor ???? iv done the same thing and all ammo creates have spawn full with ammo even banned guns like the scar an as50 night viosion. if u wish to change the weapons in side enter ur data base an find the creates u put and edit from there im sure u can delete it currant load an add a new one ! i think if ur try the ammo creates that are empty already that is were ur going wrong ! iv tried it the same and it doesnt work
 
Sorry if I was not clear. I want a ammo box that updates like a tent in the database. I get it to spawn in like a tent.. Clears weapons cargo ect. Then adds the inventory I have set in the database. Just can't figure out how to get it to update with the hive write.
 
Same, are u guys looking at it spawning as a item Like a tent, or just placing via editor then it updating contents to the database
 
I added mine to the db as deployables - so added to deployable and instance deployable I believe. (Used the editor to get the coords, but I think you mean putting the boxes in the sqm and updating their contents in the db).

I was considering adding mine to the vehicle tables to test if they would save, anyone tried this? Would it even work?
 
Vehicles table does not work. I'm going to try adding them in the sqm, not that I think that will add hive write. Hopefully it will let me use my heli lift script on the ammo box, which has not worked yet.
 
I still can't lift any ammo boxes with BTC lift script - anyone achieved this?

After further research, to get ammo boxes/anything to save to the hive database, some changes need to be made in the dayz_server.pbo - server monitor.sqf, server functions.sqf, update objects, etc etc. Still experimenting.

Ultimately I intend to create a new table in the database to write fuel tank capacities to. I will update if/when I manage to fix these ammo boxes. What's weird is that my rmod vehicles save their status and contents like normal, but if I add an ammo box into the vehicle table I can use it in game, but nothing survives server restart - nothing gets written.
