Changing the hours of darkness

I've seen the acceleration time script to make shorter nights, but I was wondering if it was possible to do this: Adjust the times of darkness so it's only dark during configured hours. For example, if I wanted a 4 hour night cycle, maybe I'd make 10p to 2a (server time) the dark hours.

Is this possible?
