If you use navicat (if you don't, get it)

CHANGE root@% to dayz and click save

Save and exit and you're done ^_^
 
it comes with a mysql server. start the server and then find your pmain stored,prodedure and change 'root' to 'dayz' or whatever name you have set up as your login.

alternatively you create a user named 'root' with full permissions on thst database

except for where you say get navicat :D
navicat is a crippled version of a commercial software, mysqlworkbench is fully funtional and free .. made by oracle

i tried navicat once, i dont recall what i wanted to do but the message popped up that feature was not available in the crippled version.
of course the commercial version is good, i just am not a fan of crippleware when an as good or better alternative is available for free. and since mysqlworkbench is made by the same people who make the mysql server, Oracle, i cant imagine any other software would be more complete.

Doesn't PwnozOr update the version of the private server pack,like 1.8.6.1?is it the latest?
I want to set up the prviate server(1.8.6.1).And I looked through a website in your a reply to somebody.
There are every version of the server file ,from 1.7.xx to 1.8.6.1(is it released?) But I don't know how to use it.
They are different from the private server files which PwnozOr have announced.The files in that website,including the Client file,and the Server file, and SQL file,and I didn't see the startserver.bat.I used to start the server just only put the PwnozOr private server pack in my root game file.
 
I would also appreciate an update to a more current version or at least a guide how to update properly.

I've tried it several times with several approaches but everything results in "Session lost" (Player xyz without identity) messages.

Did you have any server pack that the version is more new?
