Unpack your dayz_code.pbo (not dayz_server.pbo) and find init\compiles.sqf

1. Use latest TexView2 from https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/BI_Tools_2.5
2. Use correct dimensions with numbers divisible by 2, but not bigger than 2048. (2048x2048, 2048x1024, 1024x512, 512x512 e.g.)
3. Use png as is, without compression, even if png size is 8mb or bigger.
4. Use 1024x512 dimensions or less, but this bad for quality.

My death screen is 2048x1024 and size is 616kb

nope, only texture .paa

But this is impossible, i think, because after death you just call texture appear on your screen, how could you call picture instead? If you find other method it would be awesome to just using low size jpg.

Trust me, this will not work with jpg
Only texture, only .paa...

i know what you mean, but jpg only for logo, you can't use jpg on death screen

in example: scripts\Death Screen\deathscreen.paa
